Ο καλλιτέχνης Rémy Rivoire παρουσιάζει το πρόγραμμα AROUND που επιχειρεί μέσω μιας σειράς από residencies και εκθέσεις σε πολλές μεσογειακές πόλεις (Αλγέρι, Κάιρο, Βηρυτός, Κωνσταντινούπολη, Αθήνα, Lubjiana, Λευκωσία) να διεξάγει τον διάλογο σχετικά με τις τοπικές πολιτιστικές και πολιτικές ανησυχίες. Το τοπίο, η ιστορία, τα γεωπολιτικά στοιχεία της κάθε πόλης και η πολιτική χαρακτηρίζουν τις μετακινήσεις του καλλιτέχνη.

Ο καλλιτέχνης συμμετείχε στο εργαστήριο Noise Crossings της εικαστικής ομάδας Noise of Coinsidence το 2004 και επιστρέφει στην Κύπρο για να μελετήσει τα «φαινομενικά» σύνορα του νησιού, την «πράσινη γραμμή» και την περιοχή της Αμμοχώστου (Βαρώσι).

Ο Rémy Rivoire θα παρουσιάσει μια εγκατάσταση στον χώρο της Στοάς Αισχύλου το Παρασκευή 12/2/2010 και η έκθεση θα διαρκέσει εώς τις 21 του ίδιου μήνα. Τα εγκαίνια θα πραγματοποιηθούν η ώρα 20:00.

Παράλληλα θα παρουσιάζεται η δουλειά των καλλιτεχνών Ελένης Σκουλιά και Μαίρης Χριστοδούλου με τίτλο «ήχος ή/και εικόνα», που πραγματεύεται την αποσύνδεση του ήχου από την εικόνα. Θα είναι μια διαδικασία κατασκευής δύο οθονών προβολής σε σχήμα παρενθέσεων και θα αποτελέσει ένα live performance που θα συνυπάρξει για μια εβδομάδα με τη δουλειά του καλλιτέχνη Remy Rivoire στον εκθεσιακό χώρο της 'Στοάς Αισχύλου'.

The artist Rémy Rivoire presents the program AROUND which attempts, through a series of residencies and exhibitions in many Mediterranean cities (Algiers, Cairo, Beirut, Istanbul, Athens, Lubjiana, Nicosia), to conduct a dialogue on local, cultural and political concerns. The scenery, history, geopolitical aspects of each city and the politics that characterize the movement of the artist.
The artist participated in the workshop of artistic Noise Crossings Group Noise of Coinsidence in 2004 and returned to Cyprus to study the "phenomenon" of the island borders, the Green Line and the area of Famagusta (Varosha).
The artist Rémy Rivoire will present an installation at the Stoa Aeschylou on Friday, 12/2/2010 and the exhibition will be open for the public until the 21st of the same month. The opening will take place and at 20:00.
The work of the artists Eleni Skoula and Mary Katharine Christodoulou with the title "sound and / or picture'' will also be presented. The work deals with the decoupling of sound from image. It will be a process of constructing two projection screens shaped like brackets and will take place as a live performance that will coexist for a week with the work of the artist Remy Rivoire at Stoa Aeschylou.
